Sorry for the corny title but damn, fishing can be fun in humboldt county. Don't tell anyone. The last few days have seen productive fishing with an 80-20% ratio on downrunners to fresh fish. It is interesting to note how much stronger the southern latitude steelhead are compared to thier northern bretheren (i'm talkin' smith and chetco fish). Year in and year out, the downrunner fish we catch down here have been stronger and jump more than the chromers we hook on the smith and chetco! Anyways, I've got some open dates for the last half of March, which should continue to be good. See you on the river.
